The SYNC Pro Software Asset Identification Service is a web fee based service delivered by a team of licensing specialists that provides detailed interpretation of collected software data at two levels.


LEVEL 1 – INSTALLED SOFTWARE RISK PROFILING

  • FTP Service - Installed Data Collection files are sent via FTP channel or emailed to ScanTrack
  • Analyses and categorises installed software data against the SYNC Pro Software Definitions Database (SDD) by Version, Publisher, Application Type, Licence Type, Possibly Harmful
  • Provides Software Risk Profiling dynamic reports to enable assessment and focused analysis of various risk areas
  • Provides details of software titles “not seen before” and offers research on selected titles on request


LEVEL 2 – LICENCE ENTITLEMENT REVIEW

  • Completion of Level 1 review
  • FTP - Software Licence Register or Volume Licence Consumption Information are sent via an FTP channel or emailed to ScanTrack
  • Compare installed application profile to Licence Entitlements
  • Provide Compliance Gap Report
  • Move towards an Effective Licenced Position
