MICROSOFT

ScanTrack has worked closely with Microsoft SA in performing a number of very successful SAM reviews at numerous Microsoft strategic customers and has subsequently become involved with these customers involved with these customers in building their SAM capabilities going forward.
The philosophy here is to kick-start the SAM process with a comprehensive initial review and develop a thorough understanding and knowledge base of the IT infrastructure and a complete understanding of the licence entitlements they hold. This places the customer in an excellent position to make a choice as to how they would like to manage this information base going forward.

LARGE AREA RESELLERS (LAR)

ScanTrack has developed a number of service models using the SYNC Pro Product Suite which supports the LAR’s SAM service profile in their client base. These include-

• A full hosted SAM Solution which delivers a SAM solution to their “Enterprise Agreement” customers on an ongoing basis. In this solution the SAM knowledgebase is maintained at the LAR and the collection of information is performed at the client’s site on an ongoing basis. Web access to reports and information is available from the LAR.
  
• Once off “Effective Licence Position ( ELP)” reviews for enterprise agreement customers which includes a full discovery project for all devices, obtaining a full information base of all licence agreements and entitlements, software data interpretation services and a full compliancy review. This provides an excellent starting point for a full SAM project going forward.
  
• Quick asset discovery services for customers and Outsource service providers who want to obtain a complete inventory of devices that operate on networks for which they have management responsibility.

SYNC Pro Starter Pack is and affordable bundle of an inventorying product and services aimed at the SME end of the market and the IT Service Providers who service the SME market space and have multiple small networks which they administer.

SYNC Pro Starter Pack has three elements
• SYNC Pro Collector – a multi functional set of collection methods which inventory assets on the various networks
• SYNC Pro Inventory Manager – information repository and inventory process manager
• SYNC Pro Software Asset Identification Service – A ScanTrack web service for performing the data interpretation necessary when managing software
